Although their original run ended in 1980 following the tragic death of drummer John Bonham, surviving members Robert Plant, Jimmy Page, and John Paul Jones have reunited on rare occasions, most notably at the 2007 O2 Arena concert in London.
For nearly two decades, fans speculated about a possible reunion tour, but the band remained silent. That silence ended this year when Zeppelin stunned the world with their announcement: 2026 will mark both their final reunion and their final farewell.
The news came during a global livestream event hosted from London, where Robert Plant, Jimmy Page, and John Paul Jones appeared together to confirm the tour. Accompanied by Jason Bonham, the son of John Bonham and longtime drummer for the band’s reunion projects, the group shared their emotional reasoning for one last run.
“We’ve carried this music with us for our entire lives,” Robert Plant said. “This farewell tour is about honoring the songs, the memories, and the fans who have carried Led Zeppelin in their hearts for generations.”
Jimmy Page added: “The fire is still there. We want to give people one last chance to experience it live — to feel that power, that magic. This will be the final chapter of Led Zeppelin on stage.”
Adding fuel to the excitement, the band revealed that the tour will feature special collaborations with metal pioneers Judas Priest and guitar icon Ritchie Blackmore, both of whom will take part in a series of reimagined performances of Zeppelin’s most beloved tracks.
