Lana Del Rey is the stage name of Elizabeth Grant (born 1986 or 1987), an American indie pop singer/songwriter.
She released an EP entitled "Kill Kill" in 2009, under the name Lizzy Grant. She also recorded a full-length album with producer David Kahne, which was shelved for unknown reasons.
Her song "Video Games" was named "Best New Track" by Pitchfork. Grant played her first U.S. show on September 21, 2011, at The Box in New York City. Her debut single "Video Games" b/w "Blue Jeans" will be released by Stranger Records on vinyl on October 10 and October 11 digitally. Tickets for Grant's show in London sold out in half an hour.
